Board Configuration

AgileTune supports Kanban and Scrum boards. Customize columns, set WIP limits, and configure workflows.

Board Types

Kanban

Kanban boards use a continuous flow model. Tasks move from left to right through columns like Backlog → To Do → In Progress → Review → Done. There are no sprints — work is pulled as capacity allows.

Scrum

Scrum boards add sprint functionality on top of the board. You maintain a backlog, plan sprints, and track velocity over time. Sprints are typically 1-4 weeks.

Custom Columns

You can add, remove, rename, and reorder columns to match your workflow:

  1. Go to Project Settings → Board
  2. Click Add Column or drag existing columns to reorder
  3. Set a column color for visual distinction
  4. Mark a column as "Done" to automatically resolve tasks moved there

WIP Limits

Work-in-Progress limits help prevent bottlenecks. Set a maximum number of tasks for any column. When the limit is reached, the column header turns amber as a visual warning.

Swimlanes

Group tasks into horizontal swimlanes by assignee, label, priority, or no grouping. This helps visualize work distribution across the team.
